Magic Man

Today, she meets the magic man
the king of anticipation
Eyes that can trap her in its abyss
a smile that can capture her lips

Quickly, she is beguiled by him
she tries so little to resist
Poetry flows out from his mouth
security from his every touch

He sees the broken marionette
the cracks on her porcelain face
He caresses her fragile body
enchanting her with every touch

The doll could not move, how can she?
Nothing but a lifeless shell
incapable of feeling
fully surrendering her body

The magic man senses submission
He grins like the Cheshire cat
as he grips her neck tighter
ignoring her crumbling skin

The marionette’s eyes widen
surprised by the sensation
She moves a little for she can feel
Pain and despair, by his hands

A little more, he says, more
He whispers a spell in her ear
No, please, no, in between breaths
He holds her strings as she feels again
